Testimonial For India and Short Land Brown Bess Muskets(13 Guns)
Leftys Gentlemans Guns were an excellent help in ensuring that the needs of the 73rd were met for Ligny and Waterloo 2015. Their professionalism and quality of firearms was superb. Some of the muskets were organised at short notice and the business met the challenge. I would work with Leftys Gentlemans Guns in future projects without question. A first rate supplier of firearms.

I bought my first musket from Lefty's with peace of mind thanks to excellent customer service. I was given plenty of advice and accessories necessary for a novice shooter. A qualified gunsmith inspected the musket to make sure it had no faults and was as accurate as it possibly could be. My club now has three and we are happy with them all.

I bought a 1742 Long Land Pattern "Brown Bees from Michael last year. I use it in my French and Indian War and Royal Marine reenactment as well as casual shooting from time to time.
It is a quality firearm and well suited to my needs. It is a favourite of my collection and Michaels communication and service were exemplary throughout the whole purchase and delivery process. I have since bought other reenacting arms through him and met with the same quality service.
I highly recommend hi me for any black powder firearms purchases.

I’ve bought two firearms and a few accessories from Lefty’s Gentleman’s Guns since the business started.
Lefty (the owner, also known as Michael) has always been friendly, professional and honest in all of our dealings. He’s incredibly well versed with the firearms that he sells and has a long history of safe firearms handling.
Both of the firearms I have bought through Lefty have been reliable and safe to use. Lefty’s firearms are thoroughly checked over by a gunsmith once they arrive in country and are a pleasure to fire, both blank firing for reenactment events and with the use of projectiles for sporting purposes.
Michael’s passion for history and his enthusiasm for historic firearms is well known amongst the local community, and approaching him to purchase items means you will have a good, solid firearm which is period appropriate.
I wholeheartedly recommend Lefty’s Gentleman’s Guns, and I will definitely be purchasing further firearms from him.

As a member of multiple living history groups, covering many different periods and a black powder shooter and hunter, I cannot recommend Lefty’s Gentlemen’s Guns highly enough. He was able to provide sterling advice and service and has a wide variety of quality reproduction firearms.
The lock and overall finish of my Charleville 1777IX Infantry is of a high standard and I have fired both blanks and roundball without any issues as all. The lock throws thick sparks every time and I have not had a misfire yet.

I have done business with ‘Lefties Gentlemen’s Guns’ and in particular Michael Wright whom I found reliable, communicative and supplied a quality product for the price asked.
I would have no hesitation in dealing with Michael’s company again.

I’ve had my reproduction .62 Calibre Baker in smooth bore for nearly 9 Months from Lefty's Gentleman’s Gun shop. It was great to deal with an Australian resident who knew the ins and outs of firearms for local re-enactors. The value for money was worthwhile considering I did not have to deal with customs and the agonising complications of importing firearms on my own. I would highly recommend anyone interested in antique reproduction firearms either as a first time beginner or a seasoned shooter to go and see Mike. (Pete.NSW)
Both the members of my club and I are mightily impressed with the Delhi Gun House, Brown Bess. Those who disparaged Indian craftsmanship in the past, were amazed at the craftsmanship and finish of the piece. It is perfect for our needs and may surpass models purchased from a long established company in a nation south of Switzerland. I can’t wait to do some proper target shooting at Tamanick. This year the mountain will be moved.
